LOS ANGELES , CA- JULY 1, 2011 CAP60 has been awarded a contract by the Louisiana Workforce Commission (LWC) for a Community Action Program data information system for use in the LWC’s administration of the federal Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) program for the state’s 42 Community Action Agencies.

CAP60’s web-based Data Management System will enable LWC to provide an online, integrated application intake process, client case management, and accurate, real-time performance reporting, as well as eligibility indicators, volunteer management and other process automations.

CAP60 President Hamid Kohan said, “We bring to the table technology that is scalable, customized and affordable for all Community Action Agencies. Additionally, CAP60’s customized web-based solution does not require an expensive technology infrastructure that is normally associated with this type of application.” Kohan emphasized that the web-based system makes it ideal for Community Action Agencies to Centralize Data In-Take, Case Management, Monitoring and Reporting, by Program, Funding Source, Agency and State. This new technology enables us to provide centralized Data Base for all agency programs including, CSBG, CDBG, LIHEAP, HMIS and Head Start Programs.”

Curt Eysink, executive director of the LWC, said, “This system will help increase process efficiencies while providing real-time tracking and status information. With this tool, we will be able to more ably administer the CSBG program and assist community action agencies in Louisiana to better serve those in need.”
